Adeline L. Burdick, age 88, of Litchfield died on Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Cokato Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 16th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Interment will be in the Forest City Cemetery. Adeline Louise Burdick, the daughter of Edgar and Edna (Jorgenson) Berg, was born on January 5, 1923 in Cokato, MN. Adeline was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Church in Cokato. She grew up and received her education in Cokato, graduating from Cokato High School in 1940. On November 3, 1942, she was united in marriage to Clifford Burdick in Cokato. This marriage lasted 61 years until Clifford died in 2004. Adeline and Cliff lived in various places in Ohio and Minnesota before settling in Litchfield. Adeline worked for 3M for 27 years. She enjoyed the outdoors with her husband and family especially camping, fishing and hunting. Adeline was a lady of many interests including ceramics, sewing, music, acrylic painting and gardening. She and Clifford loved to take drives through the countryside. She was very health conscious, watching her diet and walking daily. She was an active member in the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She will be remembered as an energetic mother that was active in her children and grandchildren's lives. She also kept busy as a ""do-it-yourself"" decorator.
She is survived by her children Rozanne (and John) Mohart of Rosemount, Nancy Johanneck of Phoenix and Brian (and Patti) Burdick of Darwin. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Wendy (and John) Gleason, Leigh Heinen, Gayle (and Duane) Jenkins, Karen (and Scott) Feld, Peter Johanneck, Robert (and Shani) Johanneck, Billy (and Christy) Johanneck, Kim (and Heather) Burdick, Brittany Burdick and Asa Burdick, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, brother Paul Berg of Tucson, Arizona, sisters Delores Barton of Champlin, June Weiss of Minneapolis and LuAnn (and Victor) Lubke of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford A, infant son Clifford T, great granddaughter Avery Feld brothers Lanny and Haward, son-in-law Bill Johanneck and special friend George Dunn.
