Adeline Marcella Buck

Adeline M. Buck, age 93, died on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery. Adeline Marcella Buck was born October 19, 1922, in Danielson Township, Meeker County, Minnesota to Andreas and Olga Knutson. She was baptized at Arndahl Lutheran Church on November 25, 1922, and was confirmed on July 11, 1937, at Arndahl Lutheran. She was joined in marriage to Herman Buck on November 7, 1940 in Atwater, Minnesota. They had one daughter, Bette. They resided in Idaho and California while Herman was in the Navy. They returned to the family farm south of Grove City where they lived for many years. In 1987, they moved to Litchfield. After Herman's death Adeline made her home at Emmaus Place and became a resident of the Emmanuel Home in May 2015. Adeline was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield and was involved in the Ladies Aid. Adeline was a devoted mother, sister and aunt. She was always there to help whoever needed it with her patience and kindness. She loved to bake, play cards and her quilt making at Ecumen of Litchfield will not be forgotten. She and Herman traveled to many states over the years and loved to attend local parades. Adeline is survived by her daughter Bette Reilein of Hutchinson, grandchildren, Chuck and wife Jean Reilein of Gilead, North Carolina, Kurt Reilein of Hutchinson and Brett Reilein of Cannon Falls; great grandchildren, Carter and Owen Reilein of Hutchinson, her brother, Allan Knutson of Grove City and sister Evelyn Livesay of Caldwell, Idaho, brother-in-law Earl and Lynn Buck of Hutchinson and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman, parents Andreas and Olga; brother Jerome Knutson, sister Myra Piepenburg, and son-in-law, Bill Reilein.
